Weekend Wrap Up

For not really having plans going into Fall, it’s been a pretty great season. I finally got to experience a PNW autumn. Work took me to Spokane, Washington at the end of the August. Since I have been working in the Tribal Collection world for four years, I always love being able to participate at the ATALM Conference. A space dedicated to Tribal Archivists, Librarians and Museum specialists, I feel like I’m at home and with my people.

As soon as I got home from that trip, a few people started texting me about our twenty year high school reunion. A little on the fence on going (because I can’t even believe it’s been twenty years since I graduated high school), I’m glad my husband forced me to attend some of the meet-up activities. I saw people I literally haven’t seen since senior year, including a few of my favorite teachers. Just saying, if there were awards, I think I would have won Least Likely to Change. So many people came up to me and said I looked the same as a I did in high school and I’m taking that as a compliment because that means I don’t look almost forty years old.

Aside from traveling and catching up with high school friends, I celebrated my first successful repatriation case and took myself out for a much needed margarita and found my new favorite matcha place, its been a go to for after book club meet-ups. For someone who has always wanted to be that cute couple that puts together a fun couples Halloween outfit, I finally committed and David and I attended a costume engagement party this past weekend and it was so fun. I just want to say David nailed Grumpy Luke.
