At MOMA, there was a line a mile long to see The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, and every single person in line was the absolute worst. I felt so bad for the docents, so I hung out in the back because I rather hang out with my girls like Lee Krasnser, Joan Mitchell, and Georgia O’Keefe anyway.
Art Wanderings
More art wanderings with Picasso, Rothko, Rauschenberg and Indigenous American art that is reminiscent of one of my favorite artist’s, Cara Romero.
Friday Escape
What’s on your travel bucket list for the upcoming year? Having grown up in Southern California, I’m a little embarrassed to admit I haven’t spent that much time north of Los Angeles. Driving the one along the coast to San Francisco to visit my brother has been one of my favorite trips in the last ten years. Next year, I’d love to see more of the Northern California coast line and one place I really want to visit is the Santa Cruz area.
If you haven’t added the Channel Islands’ Painted Cave to the top of your list for whenever you visit California, do so now. Even though I’ve never been, the Channel Islands have a special place in my heart. Island of the Blue Dolphin by Scott O’Dell was one of my favorite books growing up, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve read that book. It’s also the home of my husband’s indigenous roots. The Channel Islands’ Painted Cave is one of the largest sea caves on the planet. Very few people have ventured all the way into the grotto’s deepest chamber. So if your interested, excursions of the cave are available through Channel Islands Expeditions.

Weekend Wrap Up
Weekends are for backwoods road trips, pit stops for your favorite car snacks and listening to mystery thriller audiobooks, your favorite band’s farewell concert, beach walks with your loved ones and checking off restaurants you’ve had on your travel list for awhile. What are you up to this week?
Five Days in Edinburgh
As soon as we got back to the states from our trip, I was feeling good, no I was feeling great and inspired to get back into writing/blogging more consistently but lately, I have no energy. I’m not feeling inspired or creative and I’m mad about it. Things are happening at work that I don’t love, some of my coworkers are leaving for other jobs and coworkers who should be getting the boot are getting raises and promotions, so the department morale is pretty low at the moment and it’s really starting to get to me. I wish I had the energy and the excitement to write a detailed itinerary of our trip, but in this moment I’ll leave just a few snap shots of our stay in Edinburgh.
