Me and The Girls

November 4, 2025 Sarah O'Brien

At MOMA, there was a line a mile long to see The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, and every single person in line was the absolute worst. I felt so bad for the docents, so I hung out in the back because I rather hang out with my girls like Lee Krasnser, Joan Mitchell, and Georgia O’Keefe anyway.

More art wanderings with Picasso, Rothko, Rauschenberg and Indigenous American art that is reminiscent of one of my favorite artist’s, Cara Romero.

A Trip to The Morgan

October 29, 2025 Sarah O'Brien

What better way than to kick off the fall season than taking a trip to New England? It’s been a few years since I’ve been back to visit my brother and his family in CT, so earlier this summer I booked a trip to check off experiencing a New England Halloween. Before taking the train to Connecticut, my husband and I stayed in my sister’s newly bough studio in Murray Hill in The City.

And what do you know, The Morgan Library is just a five minute walk from my sister’s new place. A quick stop at our favorite bagel place and off to The Morgan we went. What I would do to be a librarian/archivist a the Morgan!

Monday Morning Quotes

July 15, 2024 Sarah O'Brien

You will die with books unread. It’s not morbid, just a fact. So buy what you want, get to what you like when you can. This isn’t a school project, a book report isn’t due. You’ve supported an author and collected art you love. A library of unread books is a beautiful thing

What Are Your Weekend Plans?

July 5, 2024 Sarah O'Brien

I actually have no plans this weekend, and I could not be more excited. I’m looking forward to sleeping in, maybe go out for an ice cream date with my husband since it’s a thousand degrees out, afternoon naps and cuddling with my cats, finishing my book and continue my summer pasta recipes. Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a relaxing weekend.
